Create an Online Application

At Salem Christian School the excitement of learning in a vibrant Christian environment encourages study, develops character, and builds positive behavior patterns. We welcome your interest in enrolling your child(ren) in SCS.

Applying to Salem Christian School is a straight forward process. We encourage families to apply online as it simplifies submission and provides parents a tool for tracking online the status of their admission after their application has been submitted in addition to reducing enrollment and data collection. For those who wish a paper format we provide paper applications. In any case, a non-refundable fee of $50 per student applicant is required. Upon successful admission, the application fee will be credited towards the family’s enrollment fee.

Application Procedure
All forms within the admissions/enrollment packets and the following additional documents:

  • Complete the online application
  • Submit the student’s most recent report card (Kindergarten applicants exempted).
  • Submit a pastor’s letter of recommendation.
  • A paid application fee.

The application will be reviewed upon receipt of all required forms and submission of the application with payment.  Assuming a satisfactory  application you will be contacted to schedule a family interview.  The presence of both parents is required at the family interview, except under unusual circumstances.

The purpose of the interview is to discuss your reasons for applying to SCS. It is also an opportunity for you to share concerning your child(ren)’s needs and why you believe SCS is best suited to meet those needs. During the interview the Admissions representative will explain Salem’s mission as well as the philosophy, goals, and programs of the school. A successful admissions interview enables those that review the application to determine if the partnership will be profitable for the parents, students, and school.

An admissions screening may required  prior to enrollment. This is in order to determine developmental readiness, scholastic aptitude, and proper placement.

Upon satisfactory completion of all the above procedures, parents will be notified in writing of acceptance or non-acceptance application.
