Thanks for your interest in volunteering at Salem Christian School! A dynamic school like Salem Christian School is always in need of assistance. Your willingness and skills are sure to be put to good use. We look forward to plugging you into the SCS community.
What do I need to do in order to volunteer?
We are grateful for every volunteer. Each one is important to ensuring the prosperity of this ministry. In order for the school to maintain a safe and secure program for everyone we have certain policies that must be followed. Please familiarize yourself with these and be sure that you have complied to all of the required forms, conduct, and clearances.
All adults wishing to volunteer in the school will need to complete the proper screenings and agree to abide by the volunteer code of conduct. Please read the volunteer code of conduct below. You must agree to it if you are going to volunteer at Salem Christian School. Additionally, the Pennsylvania General Assembly has specific Child Protective Services laws relating to criminal background checks and child abuse clearances in order to volunteer or work in a school. These clearances are now required on a cycle and specify who needs to have clearance to participate in children’s ministries and how often these clearances must be renewed.
